So presh.

Today was fascinating.

I woke up at 5:45 absolutely anxious for graduation. I managed to sleep a bit and finally was up and around at 7:00.

I got to the graduation ceremony with y nicely bedazzled cap and sat for 2 hot hours in the sun. Stefan had an excellent valedictorian speech and I was so proud of him. Iana, the other valedictorian even gave me a shout out during her speech! When we tossed our graduation caps I totally ate shit. Someone leaned into me and I just collapsed in my high heels on the grass. Called it!

My graduation party was perfect too! I had cupcakes and all my friends and family. It was so nice to see everyone together having such a nice time. I was somewhat shocked when Matt Hefter (one of the best-looking, most popular, boys in my grade/salutatorian) showed up - and even hugged me.

It’s not because I’m boy crazy; this is just a slight reflection on definition of popularity. Anyway, my party was fabulous and I left and went to Rachel’s.

Rachel’s was adorable. They had a root beer keg and a cotton candy machine. AJ - another very popular and attractive boy - talked to me for a fair amount of time at this gathering. We continued moving on. Rob Charles and I chatted about UT and how we will soon be rivals. I went to Jesse and Matts party next which was a whole slew of characters but was quite nice. Yummy food!

I then ended up at Jordan, Nick, Pranav, and Maddy’s party far away by the mountains. It was so beautiful and mellow and I am so proud to call these kids my friends. Jordan seshed on the guitar and everyone else mellowed and chatted.

After a few other parties, Nicole and I ended up at Scott’s house. This was bizarre to me as he is yet another popular boy in our grade. Everyone had some beer and I bonded with the boy my sister is seeing. Turns out he is a really nice boy and I totally approve. Anyway. I talked around and had a fairly good time - all the meanwhile texting Johnny. Nicole and I decided to take a walk and Johnny called me and joined us.

He is ridiculous. Today at a party, he came up and hugged my sister and walked away from me. So I grabbed him to get a hug too. He is just being a brat!

Then I came home, had a cupcake, sat in a semi-boozed state and opened my cards. People are so generous and great, I really appreciated everything. I have some spending money now! How exciting! I just sat there, opened cards, giggled by myself and felt happy.

Anyway, I can’t quite grasp this strange concept of people knowing who I am. At this party I had plenty of people to talk to and didn’t feel too out of place. “popular” kids coming to my party was a change and I felt different than how i did in high school. Funny how right when it’s over I finally attain the quintessential level of high school.

Alright. Great day. Sleep.

Sitting in my living room surrounded by graduation cards kind of drunk and very happy.

Happy graduation!
I just got my grandma’s favorite necklace that my grandpa gave to her nearly 50 years ago. I feel really special right now.

Waiting for the day that I find someone who loves me for who I am.

Anonymous: haha jstern said that? gawl. what do you think about him

I love Jordan! He is one of the smartest, most talented people I have ever met. I wouldn’t be going to UT without him and I don’t think high school would’ve been as fun if he hadn’t been a part of it. I think he is hilarious in addition to his use of brocab and I will seriously miss him with all my heart.
